As I read more about Anne Frank, I realized that I could also relate to what she is going through. On November 7th 1942, she starts writing more maturely and more about the problems that she is facing. I believe most of us teenagers can relate to her story and sometimes also feel that same way as her but we just are too afraid to express our feelings and keep them inside us. These are some of her quotes that I could relate to.

“I’ve drawn myself apart from them all, I am my own skipper and later on I shall see where I come to land”

Sometimes, my parents get so caught up with me that I figured the best solution is to be separated from them. They compare me with my brothers and sisters and tell me why cant I be more like them. Yes, maybe it’s true. I am not as “good” as them, but it doesn’t mean that they have to say that. I am a really sensitive person, so such little comments can easily offend. It’s best for me to stay away and keep my distance.

“Now Margot is just the prettiest, sweetest, most beautiful girl in the world. But all the same I feel that I have some right to be taken seriously too.”

Though my sister is not the prettiest, sweetest and all those mentioned above, she still gets the favor of my parents. This may be because she was sent overseas to Canada throughout her teenage years for personal reasons, leaving her with my oldest sister; therefore she hasn’t had the love of true parents. My parents believed that it was a bad decision, so now they are being extra nice and lenient to her deeds. This may seen fair, but sometimes it just gets overboard, having them respond to any of her requests and ignoring most of mine.

Maybe I have exaggerated some of my descriptions, but this is how I interpret them.

I like how the way you describe yourself being compared to your brother and sisters. Well, there’s always pressure for everyone.
    Great job!

That is why I feel these blogs are such a great tool to try and share some of our feelings, thoughts, and ideas as a community.

I agree with Sai, nice explanting of the quotes, Next time see if you can use a quote to prove what you want to say!
